RZ Bleacher Report - Anonymous Owner Survey - Season 70

As we move ever closer to Season 70 of Red Zone, it is time for another Anonymous Owner poll, this time insteading of asking just the General Managers or the Coaches, I wanted to get a bigger landscape of the league.

The questions we polled the league are as follows....

1) - Which coach and team pairing heading into the cycle is your favorite fit?

2) - Which coach and team pairing heading into the cycle is your least favorite fit?

3) - Are there any coaches in your opinion who are on the hot seat after last cycle?

4) - Who is your favorite coach to claim their first championship?

5) - How did your divisional teams do in hiring? Are you excited or disappointed in the coaches you'll be facing against in your division?

Without further ado, let's get into it.

1) - Which coach and team pairing is your favorite heading into the cycle?

-"Coach Longville and the Browns. Although he did a shit job doing the same thing last cycle, I believe the man has learned from his mistakes. He's got a perfect situation, an Xbox party full of advisors in his ear, and the biggest chip a shoulder can have. He has been counted out over and over and over, don't be surprised."

-"Pat and the Cowboys. Pat runs the ball very well, and that's a great team to do it with. If he can turn the defense around (he has built two great defenses in his previous two stops) he can continue to add to the trophy case."

-"Kelly and the 49ers is a match made in heaven, going to his favorite team and getting Trey Lance? Come on, that's not even fair. Kelly also has little to worry about in his division, a lot of hardware heading Honeycutt's way."

-"Kad loves having a mobile quarterback, as well as a strong secondary. With New England, I think he is going to fund success with that roster out of the gate."

-"Definitely Pat and the Cowboys. He will be stretching his way to glory."

-"Moji and the Bengals. He has a young, talented quarterback, with the need for pieces around him. This is Moji's specialty."

-"Kelly and the 49ers, they are ready to go from day one and he won't have those Atlanta growing pains."

"Spencer in Arizona is a great fit. He starts off with enough talent to compete early and win some games."

-"Astin and the Vikings. With that offense and the front seven they have on defense, I am excited to see what he can do with that team."

-"Jim and the Jaguars. Jim builds great teams but always struggles with getting the quarterback position right. Now, he's got his guy in Trevor Lawrence and the assets to build his team like he always does."

-"Coach Kad and the New England Patriots. I think he is the odds-on favorite to win that division early and often."

-"Tauph in Philadelphia. The city of brotherly love has no problem booing Santa Claus, so booing Coach Tauph will be no problem."

-"Before we started, if I had a guess on which owner would end up in Dallas, I honestly would have said Pat. This is my favorite pairing because the weapons offensively and defensively fit perfectly with what he likes to do. I think he has a ton of success this year."

-"Kelly and San Francisco, #TheTreyLanceProject."

-"Moji and the Bengals."

2) - Which coach and team pairing is your least favorite heading into the cycle?

-"Monty and the Giants. I am a Giants fan, and I think he will get away from the integrity of the team once he inevitably starts losing."

-"Astin. If any dickhead is going to make it hard to trade for my childhood buddy, it's this guy. Fuck face."

-"Spencer and the Cardinals. He will ruin this team that is ready to win now."

-"Coach Jim and the Jags of Duval."

-"Beech and the Lions. Beech can prove me wrong if he's invested, otherwise there is a lot of draft capital he is wasting and he has to spend the money he will have."

-"King John and the Chiefs. With how cheesy KJ was with user d-line, I can only imagine what he is going to do with the track stars and Mahomes."

-"Definitely Pat and the Cowboys. Stretching his way to glory....yikes."

-"Coach Jim is faced with the development of Trevor Lawrence, which could be a lot of pressure on him to perform well with him. This will push Jim to make some mistakes, but he's a great team builder. It will be fun to watch."

-"JP and the Bears. Astin will run that division, easily, and JP will lose interest early. Hopefully he can be a wild card team to keep him invested."

-"Spencer and the Cardinals. Spencer isn't ready for a multidimensional weapon like Kyler Murray. The pressure of having a stud quarterback and not being able to produce will make him feel overwhelmed and totally collapse, as he has done in every previous stop."

-"Adel and the Ravens because he rigged the draft."

-"Longville and the Browns. Another cycle of nothing."

-"Jim and the Jaguars. Way too much pressure on Jim to develop Lawrence."

-"Prewitt and the Saints. He has never been a great passer and needs to get a good RB2 that is not Latavius Murray."

-"King John and the Chiefs. My reasoning is only from what I've seen so far. He likes to run the ball and play good defense, and Kansas City is the opposite of that. I would have loved to see him in San Francisco."

-"Ian and the Falcons. I think he is a big candidate to slip into being a bottom-feeder in the NFC. He will be in 3rd or 4th place all cycle behind Ramesu and Roc."

3) - Are there any coaches in your opinion who should be on the hot seat after last cycle?

-"Coach Ricky Chapstick."

-"Longville, White Greg, Beech."

-"Beech will be checked out in the third season of the cycle. I have no idea why Prewitt is back."

-"I'd say the veterans still looking to add a championship. We had 3 new champions last cycle that don't have true longevity. Knowing a guy that you can beat winning before you had to make it hard to sleep at night."

-"BeatOven. He's better than he gets credit for and genuinely cares. But he just hasn't demonstrated the drive or dedication to winning."

-"Spittah? King John? Very different situations from the previous cycle. King John can't hide on the defensive line anymore, and has to prove that he can play offense. If he messes up with Mahomes, he's going to get crushed the way Spittah did in chat. Spittah has a very winnable division (Kad is a trash can, let's call a spade a spade) but he struggled heavily with Kansas City for a majority of last cycle. With a significant downgrade at quarterback, will he be able to limit turnovers? I dobut it. It could be another long, disappointing cycle for Terry."

-"White Greg has one more cycle to prove himself, or the narratives are coming. I'd add Glenn and Longville in here as well."

-"After the run with the Colts last cycle, the fans of Washington need more from Mr. Chapstick."

-"Tauph, Kad, Spittah. Chat gods....but can they do it on the field consistently at a high level???"

-"Spencer. Show us something Spencer. You've got to with that team."

-"Jim, he consistently chokes. Beech, he consistently doesn't contribute."

-"Jim again here, he's been here 7 years and I think he has won 2 playoff games. Wouldn't be excited in Jacksonville with that track record."

-"White Greg, purely for outbursts. That was cool on the Cowboys, I don't know if it flies on the Colts."

-"Glenn. If he can't do it with Aaron Rodgers, it is officially over for him. I do love him though, deeply."

4) - Who is your favorite coach to claim their first championship?

-"Andy. Why? KING HENRY!"

-"Monty has a strong shot to win one if he builds his team the way he wants to, and keeps the defensive core young."

-"Jake. I think he builds the Washington team like he has before, and does enough to get over the hump."

-"King John. He has a loaded team. White Greg could make a leap if he makes smart GM moves and contributes to making improvements on the field."

-"Jake. It's time."

-"Jake. It's simply inconceivable he could find a way to self sabotage again."

-"Jacob Nichole Allen. He's gotten very close numerous times. I think starting with a very good defense and new pieces on offense will help, and this roster can compete from day 1. Once he gets a long-term franchise quarterback, he has a real shot to win it all (unless he folds like he did last cycle).

-"Reid. Philly is a good fit for his style of play, and he has a good chance to stand out early, even before molding the team on his own."

-"I'd pick Tauph if I didn't think he was going to quit. He will quit. He gets way too angry. I honestly think this will be a cycle of former winners."

-"Tauph. It's time. (Prepare for the slurp) This guy has been very underrated in my eyes. Before quitting last cycle he has the best winning percentage. The only thing that stands in his way is commitment."

-"Jake. Those Redwolves have a scary defense and his wide receivers should shine in a speedy, short passing game that looks like it will be the meta this cycle."

-"JP! Nah just kidding. I'm riding the Jake train. CHOO CHOO!!!"

-"Blueprint. The combination of a great starting team against less than stellar competition. It will take Kelly a few years to get that team where he wants them."

5) - How did your divisional teams do in hiring? Are you excited or disappointed in the coaches you'll be facing against in your division?

-"I've got the strongest division in football. No question. GM, coaching, personality, top to bottom. I'm excited to compete. Be ready for Tauph and Pat complaints when the Giants take the division."

-"I am excited about my division. I don't know many people just yet, but based off of what I've heard this could be a very competitive division where every game could be a toss up."

-"I cannot believe tis division pairing happened on American Soil. I might quit, seriously."

-"Who the fuck is Robomonkey? Like what is this motherfuckas name bro?"

-"Excited to win 8-9 division titles. I would be embarassed if I was those team's fans."

-"Excited. Hope they stay active throughout the cycle, that would be my only concern. Scheduling could definitely be an issue."

-"I'm excited for my division. I'm hoping to capitalize on some growth from last cycle and make a push into more growth. My division mates are fun, so it will be a great cycle."

-"Really excited about my division. I'm happy I have three members who I can count on sticking around, and won't rage-quit or retire."

-"I do enjoy most of my division. These guys with 2 hour schedule availability out of the 48 hour period is something I am not looking forward to."

-"Looking forward to playing in the NFC South. I hope we can stay put for a full cycle."

-"Very excited. No new bootys over here, it's gonna be solid competition for the next few months."

-"I mean, I will be in the playoffs every season because of it, so no, they didn't do a very good job with new hires. The games will be fun though....I avoided the 'tree'".

-"I'm excited for my division. I think we can make some noise."

-"I think our division looks fun on paper. I think we have guys who will definitely go with the meta and make games unbearable."

-"Pretty excited until Tauph quits the first time I beat him, because I don't want him to go."
