Best & Cheapest Packers Shuttles from Milwaukee - MilwaukeeINSIDER

Welcome everyone! We're going it right up to questions so let them rip.

Coach, what made you come back to Green Bay?

"Well to be honest it was an easy choice for me. Green Bay will always be my home. We've obviously had great success here in the past and as you all know, due to the current CBA we are all offerered 5 jobs during the coaching carousel. When we received our offers we were able to cross 3 of the 5 off the list almost immediately. It came down to Green Bay and one other team, both made very convincing offers but at the end of the day I couldn't pass up the opportunity to come home again to this great fanbase."

Let's get the biggest question out of the way early, what are your plans for the Quarterback room?

"Aaron is our starter. I want to make that very clear right off the bat. Aaron is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and will continue to be for the forseeable future. I know the rumblings league wide are that Aaron might be on the trade block but that cannot be further from the truth. We did not have a quarterback with nearly the amount of talen that Aaron does when we were in Carolina, Los Angeles, or Dallas so we are excited to get him on the field. With that said, we are exicted to have Jordan in the room with him. He has the unbelieveable opportunity to sit back and learn from one of the best to ever play. We expect him to learn and progress each and every week. His turn will come, Aaron is not getting any younger and we do expect him to get some time in game situations during the season. But for now that will be his role and nothing more."

What do you like about the roster as currently constructed?

"I'm really excited for our young secondary. Jaire Alexander has proven to be one of the better young cornerbacks in the league. He has improved every week as we have watched from afar and we cannot wait to get our hands on him and really turn him into a star in this league. He will be a Packer for a very long time. Outside of him, the safety combo of Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos is one of the better ones in the league. Darnell is coming off an impressive rookie season and the sky really is the limit for that kid. Adrian is very smart, he's always in the right spot and does not make mistakes. We can count on him to cover any mistakes made by the young secondary around him."

Are there any areas you can see that might need some immediate attention?

"I don't want to say a certain area is weak, but I will say our defensive line will need to acquire some more depth. Kenny Clark is an amazing player but he cannot do it all by himself. Dean Lowry has showed flashes but he needs to be more consistent, especially against the run. Za'Darius Smith and Preston Smith can handle the pass rush, but someone will need to step up in the run game in order for our defense to play as well as our coaching staff expects them to."

What are your expectations for your time in Green Bay?

"Well obviously we expect to compete for Super Bowls. Otherwise why are we here? Our staff has a reputation in this league for winning and we expect to uphold that. We may not always have Super Bowl caliber teams, but we feel our style can sometimes make up for deficiencies and hide weaker spots. That's not to say we feel our team is not ready to compete right away, but it'll take some time to truly get this team to represent what we want to do moving forward."

Any final words you'd like to share coach?

"I just want to reiterate how excited myself and my staff are to be back in Green Bay. We know we have a lot of work ahead of us but for right now, all I can think about is how great the roar of the crowd will be when we finally get to run onto that historic field in September. We are going to do all that we can to bring anouther championship back home to Lombardi Ave."

That's all we have for now folks. Look for more articles coming out of Green Bay in the future as we get closer to the regular season.
