Prime: It’s ya boy Prime! Back atcha, RZ Nation! This week we finally got ahold of the #5 pick in the RZ38 Draft. Bengals QB, Matthew Nagy! Wassup man? You know what it is. 10 questions, my man. Ready?
MN: Yes I'm ready.
Prime: Excellent, man. So after the Draft, you walked up to me and couldn’t hold in the emotions, man. You had some tough times in the past. Tell us what you were going through at that time, man.
MN: I grew up in a single parent home, so my mom deserves a lot of the credit. We struggled. My mom worked 2 and sometimes 3 jobs. I was the man of the house. I took care of my brother and sister. It was really tough. All my emotions came out draft night. My mother will never struggle again.
Prime: You jumped more than a few spots up from where you were projected? Did you have any idea that would happen?
MN: Yes, the Bengals hinted to me they were going to take me if I was available.
Prime: So you are a Mobile QB. One of the fastest ever in the League. Are you in the right scheme for your playing style?
MN: Coach made it clear that they would allow me to scramble. But not too much because I had some fumbling problems.
Prime: Yea, man. Gotta watch that Fumblerooski! This league is tough on Mobile QBs, man. How has coach Corn prepared you to stay injury free?
MN: He told me not worry about getting injured. That worrying about it would cause me to play tight. So I stay lose and just play my game.
Prime: Things just haven’t come together in Cincy. What do you think it will take to turn this Franchise around?
MN: I think a franchise QB like me would change Bengals misfortune. I just gotta work to help make everyone on my team better. That’s a Franchise QB’s job.
Prime: You got that right, man. So it appears you’re gonna have a high draft pick this offseason. What position would you like your GM to draft?
MN: Our team is set. I think just getting the new coach should help this season.
Prime: Some people say you’re too short to play the QB position. That you’re not as good as some of the past shorter guys. Not as good a passer as Brees. Not as good a runner as Vick. What do you say to that?
MN: Simple. Watch me..
Prime: Haha! Love it. Gotta have that Humble Chip on your shoulder, man. Been a lot of good QBs coming outta Pitt. What’s going on out there? Is Pitt the new Quarterback U?
MN: Dan Marino is the great one that taught me a lot. He is always at the Pitt facilities. I think just having him there raises the level of QB play at Pitt.
Prime: Dan, The Man! Prolly the best player never to get a ring, man. So who is the wildest player in your locker room? Craziest guy on the team?
MN: Vontaze is crazy Mofo. Sometimes I don’t know what that guy is thinking. Haha!
Prime: Haha! My dawg Vontaze is crazy like a FOX, baby! Haha! Ok. My Primetime Last Question, man. How big a house did you get moms, man?
MN: My mom is easy to please. I got her a 3 bedroom house. She loves the little things.
Prime: That’s wassup, man. Treat her to something special out the blue. She deserves it for all her sacrifices and hard work. Alright, my man. It’s been a pleasure! I wish you a great career, brotha.
MN: Thanks, Prime. Appreciate the time and conversation, sir.
Prime: Hey man. My pleasure. RS Nation! That’s another episode on 10 Questions, with ME.. PRIMETIME. And my new homie, Matthew Nagy. Peace and fish grease, RZ!
