Coach Bird Week 3 notes

         Sparks had a solid game throwing for 2 touchdowns but it was ruined by the 2 interceptions he threw as well. Brockers was almost impossible to cover. The real story was how ineffective our run game was. Ajayi and Floyd couldn't get going at all. 

 

         Our defense was ok. We did an excellent job stopping the run, but the effort wasn't up to par when it came to stopping the pass. Our secondary had a hard time slowing down Keith and Saubert. There were a lot of things we need to clean up on which we obviously didn't get to address. Hopefully we can bounce back against the Jaguars next week.

 

Offensive Standout: WR R. Brockers . 7 receptions, 198 yards and a TD.

Defensive Standout: LB P. Lawton. 2 tackles, 2 sacks and a fumble force.
