Week 3 Press Conference
Good evening once again. What a game right guys? Even though it was a loss it was still a game that showed a lot of upside for this team. Joe once again not throwing for an interception and throwing for over two hundred yards. The running back tandem doing work. Just defensively we could not rattle that Eagles offense or coaching staff. They were so poised the whole game. Wentz played fantastic and that's on us for not getting back there and creating pressure. I will now take questions.
Q: How did you guys manage to keep to close in a game that was supposed to be a landslide victory for the Eagles?
A: I credit Joe Burrow for this one. If you look at his week one vs two and three you can see the rookie jitters slowly fade. His patience and decision making have improved drastically. He has not thrown an interception in two games. When he's on his game, our offense is. Everyone knows our running game is there and our offense is going to be the thing that keeps us in, and wins us games.
Q: Does two quick losses put you in panic mode for the division race?
A: Absolutely not. We are one and zero in the division right now and our two losses are very close games. I believe we've showed our ability to compete early and it's not going away.
Q: What are some things you're going to emphasize next week against the Jaguars?
A: Obviously I'm not going to give the whole gameplan away. Quite frankly I don't have it yet. Taking it one week at a time. With that said defensively we need to find a way to create more pressure. We have to try to make Minshew beat us and make him very uncomfortable doing so.
Thank you all for your time. I credit the Eagles for a very fun game for the fans to watch and we hope to see them again in the future. I will see everyone after we play Jacksonville next week. Hopefully a different outcome.
