Skid continues; Titans Fall to 0-3

The Tennessee Titans hoped to right the ship Sunday against an 0-2 Washington Redskins team, however, they left with a donut in the win column. The defense continues to let them down, giving up 48 points to the Washington Redskins. While they created a few opportunistic turnovers early and often in the game, it just wasn't enough, as the Redskins seem to move the ball down the field with several big plays. The Titans secondary got torched all game long, and made Jay Cutler look as good as he once was this past Sunday. In fact, the Redskins had to point the ball only once this past Sunday. Their offense send intent to generate points, or turnovers. Unfortunately they did more of the former than the latter.

The Titans offense seemed to show up to play. In fact, if at all possible, it probably would have been best if their offense played defense well. While Marcus Mariota continued his turnover streak, tossing two more interceptions on the season in this game, he also found the end zone for the first time this year. He tossed for touchdowns, and ran in for another. While Darius Jackson topped the century mark in yards and found the endzone this week, the lack of volume in rushing attempts for the Titans has been concerning. This week marks his second week with less than ten attempts, and has many wondering if his acquisition was a mistake.

The Titans open up division play next week as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team they've failed to beat under Coachy McCoachface's tenure.
