Week 6 of the regular season pitted the Seattle Sehawks against the Arizona Cardinals. With Russell Wilson being hurt for another 4-5 weeks the Seahawks are leaving the team in the hands of Tom Savage. Savage's first career start as a Seahawk would turn this normally intense rivalry game into quite a yawner.

On the opening play of the game Savage would throw a quick pick six to put the Seahawks down 0-7. The score would hold at 0-7 for quite some time as both teams went back and forth playing some solid defense. Although the Seahawks defense would play fairly strong for most of the game they just could not overcome the 5 interceptions thrown by Savage in the game. The final score would end at 28-14 Cardinals.

Savage would finish with a dismal line of 19/35 for 279 yards 2TDs and 5INTs. Once again the Seahawks rushing attack did them no favors with rookie Donald Grimes putting up 25 yards on 13 carries. The only bright spots for the Seahawks would come at the WR position where Tyler Lockett would string together his 3rd standout performance in a row with 7 receptions for 146 yards and 1TD. Newly promoted rookie WR Gavin Dildine chipped in with 7 receptions for 92 yards in his first career start. On the defensive side of the ball the only standout player for the Seahawks was DE Eli Harold who was brought over from the Cardinals in a trade last offseason. In his first game against his former team he posted 2 sacks and multiple pressures.

For the Cardinals it was all about CB Patrick Peterson who posted a whopping 3 INTs with some of them coming in true ball hawk fashion. QB Jimmy Garoppolo put up 11/18 for 209 yards 2 TDs and 2 INTs. The run game was acceptable with David Johnson leading the way gaining 74 yards on 20 carries.

The Seahawks drop to 0-5 and would essentially have to run the table at this point to make the playoffs. Coach Mo had this to say regarding the rest of this season, "At this point its all about figuring out our run game. Without that we have bigger problems then just this year." The Seahawks play the 2-3 Bears in Chicago next week and will continue searching for their first win of the season.
