Saints Defense Stops Bucs In Dome
Butler fills in nicely for the injured Morrison and the Saints defense beats up Winston

After a tough loss on the road and then a sim win victory, the Saints brass was just ready to hit the field today and find out what the team has to build on going into the offseason. The Saints made a few more changes to their backfield and they were looking to find out if Savage can be a valuable back up or an over paid player who can't actually play. In comes the playoff bound Bucs, who have always faught the Saints hard. The team carries the best RB in the league and one of the top DL's out there, so today may get ugly for the oft injured Saints.

Brice Butler would step up for the Saints in their second to last game at home. Brice would haul in 7 for 134, which included a big 39 yard play late in the game to set up the game sealing TD. Saints QB Savage would go 17/24 for 274 and a TD to go along with 2 INTs. He's growing but lucky for the Saints they don't have to lean on him as a full time starter, though some Saints front office people think the he could. Saints would find a decent rushing attack, again using some young OL for experience, and Smith gained 79, Demps 16 and Williams 12.

Saints defense would play out of their minds today. Getting 3 INTs and 1 sack, to go along with holding the Bucs to 50% on offense and getting 70% on offense. Things just worked today as the Saints held the #1 rusher to 64 yards rushing and all QBs who played, under 100 total yards and 3 picks.

Saints rookies aren't putting up eye popping stats, but they are getting more pressure on the QB and doing a really good job holding RB's in check. The Saints brass has some tough choices to make this offseason, which will be here before they know it.

Next up is the last game of the season, and the Seahawks.
