Rams (10-1) Playoff Push Continues
The Los Angeles Rams won Wednesday’s game against the Washington Redskins, 24-18. With this win the Rams have won 7 straight. The fans and front office understand they must continue their winning ways if they want to get back in the playoffs. During Saturday’s media conference, Coach Dawson talks about the recent success and what to expect the next few games.
Jared Goff has been out since Seattle’s game with a pulled groin, he still has 2 more weeks until he’s back on the depth chart. Backup, Kevin Hogan, has been tremendous the last three games with a 7 to 1 td/int ratio and a 140 QB rating. The Rams will still need to rely on Hogan until Goff comes back. Gregory Hillis (119-591) & Luke Cheek (119-560) have been able to contribute to the Rams’ rushing attack since Alex Collins got hurt in week 7. Collins still has two more weeks until he comes back from a broken collarbone. DeAndre Hopkins leads the team in receptions and yards (45-851).
The defense has been the bread winner for the Rams this season ranking in the top 5 in terms of points allowed, passing yards, and total yards. The Rams are currently first in the league in total sacks as well. Aaron Donald started off hot in the season but have only accounted for 2 sacks in the last three games. Donald will need to step it up in the last 5 games if he wants to reclaim his title for most sacks in a season. Armond Fountain leads the team with 6 interceptions.
The Rams face off against the Panthers, Seahawks, and 49ers in the next three games.
