Rams Headbutts Eagles into Submission
The Los Angeles Rams dismantled the Philadelphia Eagles in today’s week 6 matchup, 38-13. In the last article, the Rams were sitting happy at 3-0 but Rams’ happy party was crashed by the New York Jets, losing in a thriller (34-30) in week 4. Now after back to back wins, the Rams are sitting at 5-1 with two games left until they have their bye week.
After a disastrous outing against the Jets, Goff has had two outstanding games in the last two weeks with a qb rating of 158 (vs. Cards) and 139 (vs. Eagles). Since the injury of starter Alex Collins, backups Gregory Hillis and Luke Cheek have been taking the snaps and have progress each outing. Luke Cheek had his first 100-yard game against the Philadelphia Eagles (13-101). The front office expects Collins to come back in week 7 against division rival Arizona Cardinals. DeAndre continues to lead the team in all receiver statistics (26 rec-423 yds-5 tds).
Aaron Donald has been on a cold streak the last three games, his 8 sacks came from the first 3 games. Some fans are blaming the long-term contract and that Donald is not giving his all. Partner in crime, JJ Watt has collected 4 sacks and a fumble recovery against the Eagles which he returned for a defensive touchdown. Armond Fountain leads the team with 4 interceptions.
Los Angeles will take on two division rivals, Cardinals & 49ers before their Bye week in week 9.
