The Los Angeles Rams finished season 71 on a three-game winning streak that brought their overall record to 9-7. With tough competition in the NFC and poor performance in the beginning of the season, the Rams missed out on making it back in the playoffs but the organization renewed Coach Dawson’s contract for 3 years/ $5 million after reaching their moderate goal of at least 8 wins. Coach Dawson went over season 71 statistics and what to expect in the offseason for the Rams.

Comparing to the previous years, season 71 was Jared Goff’s worst. With only 12 passing touchdowns and a whopping 26 interceptions, Goff’s percentage and QB rating both dropped significantly. Goff has been making progress in the last three games, averaging 250 passing yards and QB rating of 110. The front office and fans are hoping it will continue into next season. Alex Collins was 10 yards short of reaching 1000 yards (224-990-8). Denard Hocker increased his production in his sophomore season with 70 receptions and 904 receiving yards.

Aaron Donald almost reclaimed his crown for most sacks in the season but fell short by .5 sack. Donald ended the season with 18.5 sacks. Donald’s partner in crime, Trey Flowers (7), played well enough in the 2nd half of the season that the coaches are planning to give him the starting position come next season. The defense gave up an average of 191 passing yards which was ranked 9th in the league. Run support safety, T.J. McDonald, Jr led the team in solo tackles (45) and interceptions (4).

Rams are looking forward to the offseason, Although Aaron Donald rejected all contracts offers in the season the front office is confident in retaining him for another year (most likely by using the FT). The Rams are set to lose 10 players that are mostly backup players that can be replaced during the free agent period or the draft. The Rams has a total of 7 draft picks.
