Rams Get to .500 with 3 Game Winning Streak

The Los Angeles Rams won Saturday’s primetime matchup against division rival, San Francisco 49ers, 17-9; bringing their overall record for the season to 4-4. The defense has been outstanding coming out of the bye week but the offense is still trying to find their groove. “There’s no easy win in the OMFL league so we’ll take a win no matter how poorly the offense plays”. Coach Dawson went over the team’s performance for the season so far.

Offense:

While Goff’s numbers have drastically decreased compared to previous seasons, the Rams and Jared was able to agree to an extension during the bye week. After a slow start in the beginning of the season the rushing attack has been working in the last three games with the RB corp averaging 133 ypg. 33 year old, Julian Edelman, leads the team in receptions and yards (28-442).

Defense:

Aaron Donald is slowly coming back to his old self with 5 sacks and 3 FF since coming off the bye week. Robert Quinn’s contract was up and he was very upfront with the organization that he wanted a 5 year deal or play for another team, Rams traded Quinn to the Jets for Muhammed Wilkerson right before the trade deadline. Wilkerson has had no problem adjusting to the west coast, getting his first sack as a Ram against the 49ers. T.J. McDonald Jr. leads the team with 23 solo tackles.

While the Rams ended the first half of the season on a high note, they understand they can easily go back to their losing ways with the tough schedule ahead. Rams will face off against the Bengals and Steelers at home then head out on the road to take on the Seahawks and Ravens.
