Rams Squeak by Broncos; Streak Continues

There was a battle in Los Angeles last night and it didn’t involve actress, Michelle Rodriguez, fighting off aliens. Los Angeles Rams edges out the victory over the Denver Broncos in last night’s game, 30-27, all thanks to a late 4th quarter force fumble on the 1 yard line. “Denver is a tough team, we had to rely on Jared Goff’s passing for the first time this season and our defense came up big during pivotal moments”. During today’s media brunch meeting, Coach Dawson went over the first half of season 70.

Coach Dawson was shocked and delighted on how well Ram’s rushing attack have been this season. Alex Collins is having a tremendous season as a first year starter rushing 869 yards on 148 attempts. Backup Deontae Peck ended last night’s game with negative yards but is still averaging over 5 yards per carry (5.6) for the season. Jared Goff had his first 300 yard passing game this season as well as his first career rushing touchdown in last night’s game. After 9 games he is averaging almost 200 passing yards per game with 10 touchdowns. “Jared have improved a lot this year, at this time last season he had 13 interceptions and so far he only has 6 this season”. Denard Hocker was finally able to get his first rec. TD in week 8‘s game against Eagles, having a career game with 5 receptions for 147 yards and 2 TDs. Hocker currently leads the team in receptions (31).

“Defense”, Coach Dawson said when reporters asked if he can summed up this season’s success in one word. Aaron Donald is his usual self this season with 14 sacks and 3 force fumbles while his partner in crime, Robert Quinn, is quietly having a great season with 5 sacks and 3 force fumbles. 2nd overall pick, Matt Hurns, is still looking to get his first career sack. “Matt is great at clogging up the middle but he’s eager to get his first sack”. CB, AC Bradley, leads the team in interceptions while SS, T.J. McDonald Jr., leads the team in solo tackles (27).

First string TE, Tyler Higbee went down during last night’s game with shoulder tear, he is out for 4 weeks. Rookie backup, Blake Fabini, will get his first career start in next week’s game against the Detroit Lions.

FS, Armond Fountain have been on the injury report since early part of the season with broken collarbone, Rams are hoping to get him back in before the playoffs start.

Rams will stay in LA for the next two games going against one of the top offenses in the NFC, Detroit Lions, and NFC West Rival, Seattle Seahawks, then head to Kansas City to take on the red hot Chiefs.
