LA Rams have been on a little roll since season 69 ended, opening season 70 off with a 3-0 record. Rams started the offseason with a 2nd place finish in the inaugural Toilet Bowl. Coach Dawson went over the recent team news during week 3’s media brunch meeting on Friday.
Offense: Coach Dawson was more surprised than anything at how well his rushing attack has been during the past 3 weeks. “After the Gurley trade, we didn’t know what to think but all three of them are stepping up”. It was many rumors around LA during the offseason that Alex Collins trained with Hall of Fame RB, Eric Dickerson, improving on his speed and acceleration. He currently leads the team with 316 yards. Jarius Wright leads the team in receiving yards while 6th pick overall WR, Denard Hocker, sits in 2nd on the team’s receptions list.
Defense: Aaron Donald is leading the team in solo tackles (9) and sacks (3). “He turned 27 in the offseason and the man is still not slowing down”. The 2nd overall pick, Matt Hurns, is starting off a little sluggish with only 1 solo tackle. “He has the power and potential to be a fierce d-lineman, we just need to start giving him more focus in practice”. It’s been reported that Donald is asking for 5 years during the early re-sign process, Dawson mentioned they hope he will accept a 4-year deal but they are prepared to franchise tag him again. Rams and CB, A.C. Bradley, was excited to announce they agreed to a 4-year extension. TMZ Hollywood spotted A.C. at Gold Diggers later that night, being very generous with his money.
While season 70 is looking bright for the LA Rams right now, anything can happen with 13 games left on the schedule. On Wednesday, there were reports that Coach Dawson started back graduate school, “I’m still dedicated to the Rams and the team needs to stay focus because the NFC West is still anybody’s division!”.
LA Rams will have their first home game of the season against tough rival Arizona Cardinals in week 4.
With recent news of San Diego Chargers moving to LA now, Los Angeles Times handed the media rights to the Los Angeles Telegraph.
