LA Rams Rough Slide Continues

by DawsonLikesTacos | 8 years ago | 0 Comments

The Los Angeles Rams lost to Dallas Cowboys earlier today 47-34, bringing their overall record to 3-9. During the post-game media conference, it was obvious Coach Dawson was not happy with his player’s performance as well as his position coaches. “We knew we have been out of the playoff race for a while now, the NFC is tough this year and with Arizona and Seattle having good years, we had no chance to get a wildcard spot with our record”.

OFFENSE: Jared Goff is 5th in the league in passing TDs but already have 21 interceptions; 9 more than last season’s total. Todd Gurley is averaging 4.2 yards per carry but only has 532 rushing yards (44.3 YPG) for the season. It is more than likely he will not eclipsed the 1000 yard mark like he did in his first two years. Tavon Austin is steadily producing with 47 receptions and 852 receiving yards while Jarius Wright leads the team in receptions (55).

DEFFENSE: Rams defense got butchered during today’s loss to the Cowboys, allowing 235 rushing yards. “We came into this game with a top ten rush defense, E.Elliott demolished us with his blazing speed and acceleration”. Rookie FS, Armond Fountain, still leads the team in tackles (88), While Aaron Donald is still terrorizing QBs with 12 sacks for the year.

Rams front office was unable to resign LB, Alec Olgetree, to a 4 year contract. “It’s unfortunate, Alec wanted a longer contract with a lot more money than what we wanted to give him. It’s tough to say but we are now in a rebuilding stage, we will have to fight for him in free agency if we want him back”. After Ogletree’s rejection, front office was able to resign E.J. Gaines to a 4 year contract.

The last remaining games are on the road which might be positive since 2 of the 3 wins this season were road games

Rams will face: Colts, Seahawks, Eagles, and Cardinals.
