The Philadelphia Eagles have decided to clean house after making the final run with the core group that was in place for the past season. The cuts began shortly after the parade with Mychal Kendricks, Bennie Logan, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Rodney McLeod Jr., Devonta Freeman, Zach Ertz, and Chris Covington all receiving their walking papers.
The move was strictly a business decision as the Eagles have now freed up enough cap space to go after depth which was sorely lacking during the season and perhaps even a superstar or two. The offseason should prove to be a fun one as Philly has positioned themselves for another run next season.
