The Philadelphia Eagles were able to continue their winning streak, extending it to four games against the formerly division-leading Washington team. The Eagles were able to put up an incredibly balanced attack with 213 passing yards and 213 rushing yards on the game.
The first score of the game came on just the second play of the game as Devonta Freeman was able to take a toss off the left edge and scampered all the way for a 71 yard TD run. Wendell Smallwood would also contribute to the Eagles' scoring as the big back punished his way in for a 9 yard TD run during the game. Freeman put up 143 yards rushing while Smallwood provided 62 yards.
Glenn Heinecke was able to put up his first truly good game under new management as the rookie threw for 229 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT on 19/26 passing.
The defensive side for the Eagles was able to force three turnovers as Deion Jones forced a fumble while Kelcy Lumpkin and Rodney McLeod Jr. were able to grab an interception each.
