The Philadelphia Eagles traveled to Chicago to take on the red-hot Bears in what would turn out to be a close game after the Eagles jumped out to a 20-3 lead in the first half. The Eagles started off the game with a pair of FG's from Jordan Gay and a pair of TD passes from Glenn Heinecke. The rookie QB hooked up with Dorial Green-Beckham for the first TD of the game on a 62 yard TD pass and followed it up with a short TD pass to Glenn Gronkowski.
The Bears wouldn't go quietly, as the pair of Chicago runningbacks scored touchdowns on long runs, but angered the Eagles players with celebrations as they entered the endzone. The Philadelphia defense would have the last laugh, however, as they forced seven turnovers on the game, including four forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.
Philadelphia's player of the game was newly acquired Ron Rood Jr. as the former Lions CB was able to grab an INT, force a fumble (pictured above), and record a sack for the Eagles.
The Eagles play host to division-leader Washington next week as the long road back to playoff contention continues for Philly.
