Failed 2-Point Conversions Send Eagles Into Tailspin

The Philadelphia Eagles third loss of the season on Wednesday night against the Detroit Lions can be chalked up to two failed 2-point conversions.  Coming into the contest, the Eagles (1-2) were hitting their lowest point of the season while the Lions (3-1) were flying high on a nice recent win streak.  Defensively, the Eagles were holding their own.  Multiple turnovers, via interception, helped keep the game close for an offense that Eagles HC Chris Baldwin can only describe as dreadful.  When asked by media in the post-game presser about the execution of the offensive unit, HC Baldwin said "I'm for it".  Through it all, the Eagles defense was able to cover up the inadequacies of the offensive side of the ball.  With just a minute remaining in the game the Eagles had a chance to tie the game up at 20 all, but a batted down ball intended for the TE would be the end of the night for one of the worst teams in the OMFL.  The Eagles will try and turn their season around next week as they take on the Washington Redskins.
