Colts Roll Over Jags in New GM's First Game

The Indianapolis Colts took to the road in their first game under their new GM, Ducks. The team looked to right the ship after a disappointing 1-4 record since starting the year 3-3. With Andrew Luck still injured and Scott Tolzien at the helm for the Colts, the team had to lean on the running game with rookie Trey Green, 2nd year player, Josh Robinson, and the newly acquired Mike Davis, who was released after a up-and-down couple of seasons with the 49ers.

Indy was able to jump out to an early 10-0 lead after they kicked a field goal on their first possession, regained possession, and then hit T.Y. Hilton on a long pass over the middle for a 68 yard TD reception. The game was smooth sailing after that and the Colts defense who had struggled in past weeks was able to force 3 turnovers, 2 of which were interceptions by Vontae Davis who had disappeared for much of the year.

Trey Green finished with 16 carries for 120 yards and 1 TD. The other Indianapolis running backs contributed well, combining for an additional 64 yards rushing and kept Green fresh the entire game.

Indianapolis has an outside shot at the playoffs if they can win out and get some help along the way. The Colts do have a challenging schedule in the upcoming weeks and will have to survive another week without their super star QB.

The Colts take on the Raiders next week and will look to win back-to-back games for the first time since week 6.
