Cardinals Struggles At Home Continue
Redskins power past Cards with dynamic running attack
This season has been a rough one for the Arizona Cardinals. The team has yet to play up to their potential. The offensive line has played below average. The defense has struggled to stop giving up large runs. The offense has no idenity and Quarterback play has been spotty to say the least. It all equals 2 wins and some of the craziest plays that you've seen.
This game would be no different. The Cardinals gave up tons of rushing yards, which included a long 40+ touchdown which started with a fumble, which was recovered down field by the ball carrier, who had a ton of blockers sitting in front of him for an easy touchdown. The offense again struggled to run the ball. Johnson was hit in the backfield the entire game and even though Jones played better today, big turnovers still took place.
The offensive line has been a disaster for the Cardinals. They are loaded with potential pro bowlers, but have not opened up holes all year. The quarterback protection hasn't been too bad, but the running backs have not seen green grass all year.
The Redskins played well with solid defensive play all around. They passed the ball well and found open receivers a majority of the game. Their defense got after Jones and caused a few bad throws.
The Cardinals will look to continue the mix of players to find the right mix as they prep for next year. Look for rookies and young players to get playing time as they continue to build to the future.
