Cardinals Drop Passes and Drop to 1-2

The Cardinals hit the road for the first time this season, but they were forced to face one of the hottest teams in the OMFL - the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 3-0 on the early season and have one of the best rushing attacks in the league to go along with one of the top defenses. Coach Ducks has play makers all over the field and it showed today as the Cardinals have not found a rushing attack all year, despite having a top OL and top RB in the league.

Today the Cardinals would find their passing attack, but struggle to find any rushing. Only 54 yards for what should be one of the top rushing teams. The Bills, on the other hand, had 118 rushing yards and used the big play to stay in front. The Cards would tighten the gap late in the game, but a big pass interference call would set the Bills up to seal the game late.

Both teams had 2 turnovers and both struggled on 3rd downs. Only 1 3rd down conversion for the Cards, while the Bills had 5. The Bills were also awesome in the redzone, sitting at 100% for the day. Both teams also split the TOP.

Manuel came in for 1 play, late in the 3rd and had a huge completion for 56 yards. This game was more about Palmer fighting to keep his team in the game. He would finish with 304 yards and 1 touchdown, but 2 ints and 1 sack. Taylor would also struggle with the pass, finishing with only 126 yards and 2 ints. Drops killed the Cardinals and drives all day long

The Bills defense was led by Duke Williams who finished with 8 tackles on the day. Jerry Hughes would throw in 3 TFL and Mercilus and Dareus would each split a sack. The cards would get zero pressure and no sacks on the day. Bucannon and Branch each had an INT from the SS position, while Darby and Brown would get them for the Bills.

At the end of the day the Cards couldn't get 3rd downs picked up, had no rushing game and didn't get any pressure on the QB. That all leads to a 16-23 loss in Week 3. Next up is the Rams for the Cards, in a must win game this early in the year.
