Making the Grade at One Bills Drive

Well Bills Mafia, to say its been a rough season so far would be an understatement. Here we sit at 1-5 and although we knew our beloved Bills were in the beginning of a rebuild he we are. So, instead of writing a long, scathing review about how we got there I’m going to write a report card from week to week grading every facet of the game if you will. Let’s begin: Defense (Linebacker)- (B-) In what was supposed to be the lone strong point of the team that doesn’t have much to sing about on offense has failed to show up in the first 5 weeks of the season. Rookie Tremaine Edmunds has had the expected growing pains of being a rookie in the OMFL and learning the most important position on the team on the job at middle linebacker, however, the rookie has shown flashes of the quickness and explosive ability to shut down the run and put pressure on the quarter back that made him worthy of a 1st round pick. As soon as he gets the mental part of the game, I do believe in Edmunds ability to be a star and make the players around him better. Coming off his Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign, 2nd year LB Keenan Askew picked up right where he left off last year. Which has been a bright spot for Bills fans this year. Being a disruptive force in the run game and getting to the quarterback consistently has been Keenan’s M.O. Nothing to worry about here folks! Stay tuned for our next installment as we continue to grade the Bills Defense and we focus on the Defensive Line!
