Buffalo Escapes 12th Man With 16-13 Victory
The Buffalo Bills went on the road this weekend as they took on the Seattle Seahawks in arguably the toughest road environment in the NFL. Buffalo struggled early with the crowd and couldn't accomplish much offensively the entire game. Despite the challenges, the Bills got out of Seattle with a win.
Keeping with the trend, however, was the defense. Buffalo's defense continues to bend, but rarely breaks in big moments. The Bills were able to win the turnover margin again this week, forcing four Russell Wilson INT's, two of which landed in the hands of Zach Brown, who has racked up the interception numbers this year with eight of them through nine games.
The run game was the biggest disappointment for the Bills this weekend, as Darius Jackson was limited to just one touchdown on 42 yards rushing. Tyrod Taylor continued some inspired play and took care of the ball for the most part aside from one fumble. He was able to pick up some chunk plays on the ground when the Seahawks lost contain.
The player of the game for Buffalo was Dan Carpenter as he continues to impress this year. He converted three attempts into three makes, including the game winner as time expired. Carpenter has made a habit of making big kicks in big situations this year.
The Bills are off in week 10 before taking on the Bengals in week 11.
