Forte rejoins Bears

The first phone call Bob Winuvas made was to the former Bears legend, Matt Forte.

"He is the epitome of the Bears. He deserves to retire a Bear. Matt (Forte) and I talked at length on the phone and we have agreed to offer him a 1 year deal and let him finish out his career here," Coach Winuvas said.

Forte, for his part, was gracious for the opportunity.

"Thanks to Coach Winuvas and the new Bears' front office for taking the time to call me and offer me a spot on the team again. I appreciate the chance and will do what I can to prove I am worth it," Matt said.
