After an impressive win against the 49ers, QB Philip Rivers found himself on the waiver wire after a horrible performance at home to say the least. Rivers was 18/27 for 247 yards however threw 4 interceptions and was indecisive in the redzone to come away with points. "Philip is going through a transition period after leaving San Diego," Coach Murray said, "however, we feel we need to build a future QB under Tovar and Rivers is not a right fit for our team long-term." The Cards releasd Rivers immediately after the game and brought in two Practice Squad QBs to compete for the job while Tovar is out. RB Ed Holloman who was held to 21 yards on 12 attempts was blunt with his response to the game. "We got behind early with turnovers both fumbles and interceptions and it changed our gameplan, this was an ugly game, but one that was necessary for us to grow going forward".
The Cardinals (3-1) are on a bye week next week.
