The Titans went into this pivotal offseason with the goal of making the necessary changes to get over the hump they've been in the past few seasons, hovering consistently around a .500 record. Without a doubt, the biggest move made by the team this offseason was the release of long time starting QB Dak Prescott. While he showed flashes of brilliance with the team and was a model citizen, his inconsistency and major cap hit led to the team seeking a change at the position. Enter Drew Lock, a QB who has had an inconsitent career himself. Similar to when the team brought in Ryan Tannehil a few years ago, they are hoping a change of scenery and a run heavy offense will lead to a mid-career renaissance for the QB. Other free agent moves included the re-signing of OL David Andrews and Glen McCullough, both of whom were allowed to enter free agency but ultimately chose to stay in Nashville. Holding the 15th pick in each round, the team made picks which were considered surprising by many. In the 1st round, the team added TE Clint Roosevelt out of Texas A&M, with reports indicating that the team is looking to incorporate more 2 TE sets into a more heavily run-oriented offense. Continuing with that theme, the team added speedy HB Kevin Amos out of "Runningback U" Memphis in the 2nd round, who will hopefully form a three-headed monster with Derrick Henry and Marcus Slay in the backfield. The majority of the rest of the team's draft focused on adding talent to the team's passrush and secondary. Lets see if the Titans can right the ship and make a playoff run in the final MSR season.
