The Green Bay Packers open the season against the Philadelphia Eagles in a good matchup. The Packers allowed the Eagles to go up 21 - 0 in the first quarter from a 10 play opening drive, a pick six and a questionable PI in the end zone that lead to a goal line rushing touchdown. The Packers finally got their act together on offense and defense starting with a touchdown pass to Valdes-Scantling. The Packers would go on to score 22 unanswered points leading the game into the 4th quarter. A 4th down conversion lead the Eagles to a field goal score to take a 43-41 lead. With the game on the line a errored pass lead to a Eagles pick six for a final score 50 - 41. Most would say that the Packers fought hard in this game but Coach Phillip Smith later commented that "Losing is still losing no matter how hard you fight." If the Packers can eliminate the turn overs there is no reason they can't run the NFC NORTH!
