Roller Coaster Regular Season

After taking over the G-Men before the 2021-2022 season GJ knew there was going to be a lot of work, especially since the G-Men have not made the playoffs in 6 years. Seeing some good in what was already on the roster GJ went to Free Agency to address core weaknesses like the linebacker position. Heavily spending on LBs really helped boister the G-Mens's defense even though they finished 25th overall in defense alot of good did come from the defense. GJ King's offense was the bright spot for the G-Men finishing 8th in PPG, 2nd in PYPG, and 14th in RYPG puts GJ's Offense at overall 5th. In first season as head coach GJ was able to turn the franchise around with a culture change ephasis on winning. The New York Football Giants was 4-5 going into the bye week off winning two big games against the Chiefs and the Raiders, GJ could tell that the players have completely bought in to the system. During the bye week, GJ could tell that this was the turning point for his G-Men and the season. After letting the players take most of the bye week off Big Blue gets back to work and finished the second-half of the season 8-2 squeaking into the playoffs as the 7th seed going 5-1in division games. Now making the playoffs after a six year drought there was a lot of hype around the Giants being real playoff contenders for years to come. With the cards stacked against the G-Men as the 7th seed, they face an opponent from earlier in the season the Cam Newton driven Panthers with a vengence as the number two seed. Big Blue falls to Carolina. With a loss comes a lesson for the Giants and an off-season to reflect. What's next for New York and their G-Men will they make a leap and win there first playoff game since the 2011 Super Bowl??
