Warriors Get Seasons 1st Shutout 36-0
Hard to downplay the Warriors win over the Packers as they dominated them 36-0. In todays world of football and the massive amounts of schemes and players, its a rarity to have a shut out. However, the Warriors were able to pull this off by running a complete balance attack on both sides of the ball.
Looking at the offense:
Alex Smith did an excellent job controlling the ball and the game through the air going 21/28 for 260 yards and 1 touchdown with no
Ints. Smith was able to connect with Crowder for his first TD this campaign for 43 yards. Other good mentions for offense was P. Richardson Jr. who went 4 receptions for 70 yards. On the ground the Warriors were able to push the rock with their lead back Derrius Guice who had 11 carries for 75 yards, which was his highest rushing total yet this season.
Normally in a game like this you would think the Defense would have had a crazy amount of sacks and turnovers. Surprisingly, the Warriors ended the game with 3 sacks two by their defense LB Kerrigan. However, Norman (2), Dunbar (1), Foster (1), and Brown (1) were able to maximize their opportunity to force a turnover.
Next week we'll see if this game has them focused for a another high powered offense in the Saints.
