Week 9

This was a week too forget. The bears fell to the lions 40-17. In a game that started off close ended in an ugly fashion. Down by 3 at the half, the bears lost two defensive starters and it was downhill from there. Bortles eyesight was checked after the game as he seemed to throw 4 balls right into the hands of lions MLB Mack Bailey.

Bortles has played uninspiring at many times throughout the season but this was his worst outing yet. With 68 passing yards, 0 tds and 5 interceptions it was something that may go down as worse than a Nathan Peterman game. Cohen tried his best to carry the team but while playing from behind it proved too difficult.

The defence played tough in a game that saw them only down by 3 points at the half. Losing Adrian Amos and LB nick K, was too much to overcome. The secondary gave up too many deep passes late in the game and the run defence was far too soft to on first downs. With each out 4 games the team must win at least two of next four games if they want any hope to make the playoffs.

Next week the bears host the cardinals who are struggling so this could be the bounce back game they need.
