The Steelers move to 9-5 after a solid win over the Bills. At one point the game was within 7 points, but the outcome never felt in jeopardy for the Steelers. For the 2nd game in a row, Josh Rosen left with a minor injury and rookie Quandre Bruton filled in with a touchdown pass. This time Bruton was asked to play a slightly larger role as he was 2 for 3 for 25 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up a key first down with a 6 yard run.
Josh Rosen once again provided solid play from the quaterback position, finishing 18 of 22 for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. More importantly he did not turn the ball over. Bryce Love and Roman Whitlock had a nearly 50/50 split on snaps this week, with each finding the endzone once. Love on the ground and Whitlock through the air. Look for this split trend to carry through the remainder of the season. Kahlil Wallace and JuJu Smith-Schuster each found the end zone as well.
Redmon Blackwood and Sidney Jones continue to post solid seasons for the defense. Blackwood added 2 more sacks to his season total and Sidney Jones once again added an interception and a sack in the same game. Sixth year cornerback Dwayne Burroughs also added a 76 yards interception for a touchdown as time expired in the first half.
Next up for the Steelers are the undefeated Ravens. The two teams played a close first half until the Ravens and Freddie Golden were able to run away with it in the second. Despite this game not having much implications for the Ravens, I expect that they will give it their best effort to try and maintain their perfect record.
