With Josh Rosen returning early from an injury, the Steelers tried to limit his exposure to big hits and leaned on rookie running back Roman Whitlock. The gameplan worked and the Steelers were able to squeak out their first win under new ownership 17-14. We're looking forward to see what happens next week when the Steelers give Rosen more of a full workload in the gameplan.
On offense, Josh Rosen was extremely effective in his limited work. He was perfect passing, going 7 for 7 with 57yards and an 11 yard touchdown to Dallas Goedert to take the lead. Roman Whitlock carried the offense with 116 yards on 10 carries, including a 79 yard touchdown run.
The defense was a little shaky in this one, giving up too many big plays on third down. But with the game on the line, they made an impressive 4th down stop that pretty much sealed the game. TJ Watt had the lone sack for the defense.
Next week the Steelers take on the Titans in what should be a good game between two teams that have underperformed this season, but look forward to next year.
