The mystique of Meats

by Prime-Time000 | 5 years ago | 0 Comments

This cycle seemed different for Baltimore Ravens owner “iGottheMeats.” Back in August, Meats boasted swagger during the team selection draft. He was rumored to be taking the Chiefs, but elected to go with his home town Ravens team led by Lamar Jackson. The jersey swap which shocked absolutely no one in the SML proved that he was determined to win his first Simbardi with the team he grew up cheering for.

Starting in season one he began to develop and mold this Ravens team into something special. Lamar Jackson became a better passer, Hollywood Brown became more than just a fast athlete, and he eventually drafted the best running back in the SML Freddie Golden.

This team is primed to win it all - the only problem is… It hasn’t.

“He can’t win the big one.” “folding chair.” “CHOKE”  Are just some of the terms that Meats hears from SML owners on the regular. Most of the time he gracefully doesn’t say anything back, but it has to be festering inside of him.

A career 5-13 playoff record in the SML is nothing to boast about, especially when he’s been favored to win the Simbardi multiple times.

Taking this into consideration, the hype seems to be gone, no one is talking about the Ravens. People have forgotten about the magic he is capable of producing. He’s lost the “next in line title” to Sundaysquad.

Now he prepares for yet another playoff matchup - this time against the Jaguars. Another team that people are highlighting above the Ravens. A team that has had playoff success in a limited SML tenure.

It appears there is a calm in the SML, as a storm is coming. Everyone has forgotten what seemed to be the golden boy of he SML, and written him off. Will he rise like a phoenix from the ashes on wildcard weekend? Or will Baltimore suffer yet another playoff failure.

We. Will. See.
