Inside the Mind of Prime: Top 5 members I enjoy playing the Most

It doesn’t feel like it, but the SML is already four years old. Over these few years, we’ve played on five different Maddens, and crowned 29 champions. If you don’t know by now, I’ve won the championship 15 times (shameless plug.) I’m also the only member to have played every SML season in its entirety since the league’s inception.
My 500+ game SML career has had many ups and downs (but mainly ups.) I’ve enjoyed my time running the league and facing some of the toughest competition SIM CFM has to offer on the Playstation. And because of that, I figured it’d be fun to share a top 5 list on a weekly basis.
These lists will consist of topics like “best user ability, most clutch, smartest member I’ve faced” etc. That being said, I will limit these lists down to members that are still in the SML. So without further ado, lets begin, and look at the members who I enjoy playing the MOST!

5. Jets - Royce:
Royce and I go back a few Madden’s now, I very vividly remember the days when he played as the Denver Broncos and we’d go head to head in the regular season. Very often, he’d actually beat me in the regular season, but come playoff time - I always flipped the script. The thing I enjoy most about our games, is he has an “eye” for what I’m doing offensively. He seems to know where I’m going to pass the ball, and I believe he has the best user in the SML.
4. Cowboys - Grams:
Grams and I have played in-between 10-20 times, mostly with me being the Colts (of course) and him being the Miami Dolphins. The thing I respect about grams is he would always hit me up with a GG after a loss. I think our all time series is pretty lopsided in way of the Colts, however that isn’t indicative of how close our games have been. I believe he is the “iron” that sharpened me in a few of my post season runs dating back two-three Maddens ago. Grams will always have my respect for how difficult he made some playoff runs.
3. Jaguars - Dump:
Dump is by far the newest member on this list. We have only played in Madden 20, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I genuinely enjoy playing guys who make me think. Dump is one of those guys.
I recall early in the cycle dump proclaimed “the Jaguars were going to take over the AFC South, and the dynasty was dead.”
I immediately thought to myself this guy was going to be a cake walk - boy was I wrong. He is very tough, and knows how to back up his trash talk. I believe he is destined to win a Simbardi very soon, and I always enjoy out games because I know I have to bring my A game.
2. Packers - Lawyerkiller:
Lawyer Killer - what else can I say. If you guys don’t know who Lawyer is, study up. The dude is an SML legend. Honestly, he’s probably the second most clutch member in the SML (behind me of course!!!) but in all seriousness, I respect the hell out of lawyer.
We’ve played in many big games, (I’ve beat him in some bowls) and YES he’s beat me in a Super Bowl.
I think that’s why I have the most respect for him, not only did he beat me in a Superbowl, but he stomped me out. Laywer is a straight sim baller, and does it the right way, and that’s why I love playing him.
- Seahawks - Future Empire:
Future Empire, my long time rival - who also does it the right way. We haven’t had a chance to play as much since he’s in the NFC but I believe he brings the best out of me. He knows what I’m going to do before I do it, and plays in a sim fashion.

Honestly, I think the narrative of him folding in the playoffs is wrong - if you go back and watch his games - he BRINGS IT.
I have an insane amount of respect for Future and genuinely look forward to our games because I believe he is my SML equal, and I hope the respect is mutual.
