Bears vs Seahawks Week 1 Highlights

In Week 1 the Bears came to Seattle in a back and fourth battle. The bears struck first with a run in TD by Dent . On the following drive the Seahawks had to settle for a FG , after a good long drive stalled out on the Bears 38.Then the Bears drove down to the Seahawks 40 and tried a long FG that hit the cross bar and bounced out.The Seahawks Wilson threw an pick 6 , to put the Bears up 14-3. The Seahawks next drive stalled out and had to punt. After that the Bears looked to take a commanding lead, but was stopped and had to punt as well. The Seahawks took advantage of the opportunity and drove down the field to score a TD on a pass to Berry to make it a 14-10 score. The Bears then gathered themselves and drove down field to get a FG before half time to make it a 17-10 lead.

 

The Bears got the ball after halftime and drove right down the field for a TD pass to Matthews, to put them up 24-10 . The Seahawks stalled out on their next drive and things were not looking so good. However their defense stepped up and forced a fumble by Dent on Seattles 35 yard line. They took advantage of the turnover and drove down field to score on a Micheals run in from the 3. Making it a 24-17 score. The Bears were determined not to let them get the momentum back, and answered with a long drive for another TD off yet another deep pass to go up 31-17. The Seahawks were facing yet another large decifit. They then drove down the field and scored a TD on a pass to Richardson to make it a 31-24. The Bears were not done yet with their scoring, They marched right down the field and score another TD on a pass to Leonard to go up 38-24 at the very start of the fouth quarter.The Seahawks would not go down without a fight. They shook off that TD score of the Bears and drove right down the field on a long run by Micheals to make it a 38-31 score. On the Bears next drive, at about midfield, Manziel tried to run from the pocket once again on the Seahawks defense. This time though he was met by DT Hughes , who laid Manziel out on the field and caused a fumble that the Seahawks recovered. They made the best of of turnover and scored a TD on a pass to Dean who was determined to make it to the endzone even with 4 Bears defenders trying to hold him out.This tied up the game 38-38. On the Bears next drive, they were forced to punt as their offense couldnt get going. The Seahawks drove down the field but stalled out themselves on the Bears 32 yard line but managed to make the Bears use all their timeouts . With 50 seconds left they hit a FG to go up 38-41. The first play on the Bears next drive ended up a sack for a loss of 7 yards. As time was running out , they were forced to throw a couple of deep passes, this time , for once, they did not work , and Tre Boston inted the last pass on about the Seahawks 18 to end the game. 

It was a hard fought game by both sides,the Bears offense like to go deep .their defense is sound but sometimes may have over committeed alittle too much. The Seahawks did a good job of not letting getting behind numerous scores due to turnovers get them down and they never let it take them completley out of the game. Thier defense came up big when they needed it , with the forced fumble on the Manziel run in the 4th to allow them to tie up the game.
