The end of the LOB era .

After many years of tourmenting everyone they hit on a tackle , the LOB is finally being dismantled this offseason. Many fans are not happy to see these guys gone from the team, the same can be said about Coach P Dizel who was handed the full reigns last offseason given full control over the roster and coaching staff. "Well , i will no doubt miss each of these guys , as they have made hundreds of plays for us over their time here. Its a really hard decision one has to make . However for the future of our team , which is what my job is to be focused on , I had to make these best desicions to help get our team younger players back into our aging roster.These guys still play at a high level, and i personally have the utmost respect for each one of them. We all sat down and talked about it, and they all agreed, it was what was best for the Seahawk Nation. Which at the end of the day is where their heart lies still. Sometimes we have to sacrifice ourselves for the greater good of the whole, these guys get that and respect it . " 

 

 Last season the Seahawks come thru on two goals mentioned in the preseason. One was to improve on their best record under coach P Dizel, which they did with an 8-8 record. The second was Coach Dizels preseason prediction , that no matter where the Seahawks were in the playoff race come week 16, that they would beat and knock the Bills out of any chance of making the playoffs, which they did , in overtimein a great battle between the two teams. Down 7 with just over 2 minutes left in the game, Wilson drove them all the way down field to score a td with 14 seconds left to tie the game. In OT, they had alittle back in fourth with Buffalo on a few punts, but eventually with 3 minutes left in OT Seattle got a FG to win it. 

Last draft Seattle targeted Dline as a major need, as the season before only getting 16 sacks all season was unacceptable. They picked up Rookie LE Nix, RE Grayson , and DT Hughes. Hughes finsihed in 3rd place for rookie of the year with 16 sacks , LE Nix was right behind him with 14 sacks and in the D rookie of the year race as well. They also picked up a couple ofo good back up lBs they hope to train into future starters one day. As well they picked up a steal in a HB in the 4th round  they have been and will be working with to be a force to stop in the NFC. "He had some fumbling issues when he came in , so we have just been focusing on helping get his carring ability up higher before he sees alot of action, but he has all the skill sets to be a good HB for us. Coach Dizel as said.Also they picked up a good CB Mimms that they plan to build up into the next up coming LOB along with some others.Like FS Boston Seattle plans to get in a trade this offseason and CB Gilmore from the Bills they also have aquired in a trade. "We will rebuild our defensive core as best we can. I feel pretty good about where we are right now on defense. " P Dizel has said. "We found ways to win some close games last year, something we needed to work on , so its good to see some improvement. We know being in the NFC West is by far one of the hardest divisions in the NFL to try and even make the playoffs.The last 3 superbowl winners have all come from our division after all,and the 49ers just went underfeated .First team to do that since the old Dolphins. We know our chances remain very thin. That wont ever stop us from trying to upset someone though." With the draft looming, the Seahawks have once again acquired 10 picks in the draft and hope to come out with some players to help them try to defeat the 49ers and Rams at least once next season!
