Seattle prepares War Room for a new season

The Seattle Seahawks has had 6 disappointing seasons under coach P Dizel . Only able to manage a 6 win season as their best , and on average only winning 5 games most all of those seasons. The Seahawks have turned over things to their coach to make his own choices for this offseason. We caught up with coach Dizel to see his thoughts on this offseason ,draft , and up coming season. Here is what he had to say . " Well ,we keep playing well for about 3.5 quarters it seems most games, only to blow the game in 4 minutes of bad play . We have lost alot of close 1 score or less games. Of course a few times we just dont even show up mentally and get blown out. We have got to find a way to play a full game well more than a couple times a season. We have the talent on our team for the most part, its just comes down to making the right plays at the right time.We are never big in Free Agent bidding, mainly because id rather keep the good players we have and resign them, than over pay for someone just to get them on our team. We allowed LT Patterson to test FA to see if somoene would offer him a better deal than us, but at the end of the day , he knew we would use him for his talents and he came back to us . We then got rid of our over priced kicker and punter , who both lacked kicking strength and picked up some better guys cheaper . That was our only real focus in Free Agency. Ill let the rest dog fight and over pay for the good players.

As for the draft , well we have alot of picks , 9 to be exact. We know where we had some issues last year.We really want to address those aras and maybe pick up a couple other places in depth, possibly even looking toward our future as some players get older. As for what we are looking for, well we always hold that close to our vest. Also it tends to change as the draft goes on and who gets taken off our board. There is always a shuffle going on .We are in the toughest division in the NFL at this time, as the past two years Super Bowl champs have came from our division. Its a tough division to be in , but we know , we can surprise even the best of teams when we show up and stick to the plan. We just have to stay focused, and hopefully not have many turnovers. We had about as many fumbles last year as interceptions. Alot on our side of the field. That really put us in bad situations alot and lucky for us our defense held them to fgs alot but cant do that all the time. We have ideas on how to improve on these things and plan to going forward. We expect our next season to bring us at least 7-8 wins. Our goal each season is to improve on last seasons record. Anything less is a failure in my eyes."

One thing is for sure, coach Dizel is not happy with his teams preformance over the last 6 seasons. He is focused on them gaining alittle ground this offseason , and hopes to at least improve on their record for the next season, and hopes to be a threat for a wild card the year after. After looking over his teams issues in those close games last year, he is focused on stopping the holes they have. The draft is always an exciting time. Lets see if they can pick up the pieces to move them forward.
