Seahawks pull out win behind Defense and Michael

As the 49ers came to town , the Seahawks knew how important this weeks game was . Coach Tee said " we knew we neeed to win this one, we wanted to get back to .500 ,and keep our goal of improving our record from last year in sight. Not to mention in this tough division , we need every divisional win we can get, "  However , the game started off terribly for the Seahawks, on the first possesion of the game, Wilson throws a pick on the second play of the game . Setting up the 49ers in great field possesion. In which they got a quick TD out of. The next possesion ,was a 3 and out. The 49ers drove down field , and got stopped on the 2 yard line and had to kick a FG, to go up early 10- 0 . On the next possesion, the Wilson threw yet another pick on his own 20 yardline . setting the 49ers up nicely again. However this time, the defense really stepped up and got a int in the endzone and ran it out to the 20 , stopping them from going down a very demoralizing 17-0 at the end of the first quarter. They took that drive all the way down field for a TD  run by Michaels, to make it 10-7 and took up most of the second quarter in the process. Neither team could do much more in the first half. The 49ers got the ball after halftime.  On the second play of the second half ,Earl Thomas read kape's eyes from the snap , and got a INT  that really turned things around . Coach Tee talked about it after the game " You can see the replay , and Thomas just knew it was going over the middle, played it perfect and got us the turnover we neeeded. It really gave our guys a boost we needed right after halftime. I felt it turned things around for us somewhat" . The Seahawks however had to  end up settling for a FG to tie it up at 10-10 . On the very next possesion, Bruce Irving comes in and sacks Kape on the 9 yard line and the Seahawks land on it on the 5. Howevr once again they end up settlting for a FG . " I really thought we might have blown the game there not being able to get a TD  , that kinda took the wind out of our sails that we just picked up ."  Then to end the third quarter, the 49ers score another TD pass to Anquan Boldin to go up 17- 13 . The Seahawk knew what they had to do, however when they got the ball they went 3 and out , not what they wanted . However they got a good stop on defense and made the 49ers punt. At this point there was only 3 minutes left in the game . Then next thing you know Michael breaks a 56 yard run , to score the go ahead TD ! The 49ers got the ball back with just over 2 minutes left in the game. They had a couple crutial 3rd down conversions , and drove all the way down the field to the 5 for a first and goal, They ran it two times, and passed it once . The runs got stopped and the pass was batted down. It was 4th and goal from the 3 , and the 49ers felt they didnt want to go into OT in Seattle , so they went for the win . On fourth down , the pass was batted down as time expired. " Im really proud of this team tonight, we started off really bad, and was facing going down 17 -0 due to two turnovers . But they stuck with it, grinded it out , and ened up getting a much needed W. Our guys showed alot of poise tonight, and we got our run game going which always is a plus. We would of course like to win in much better fashion, but these close ones are the ones this team lost alot of last season, so its good to see some improvement . However we cant celebrate this win much , we have to focus on next weeks game against the Vikings. We have a long road ahead of us , but we plan to improve on last season record! " At the end of the night  the Seahawks allowed 133 yards rushing and only 144 by passing, while the 49ers gave up 142 on the ground and only 73 yards passing, mainly do to some bad throws by Wilson.  The 49ers had some sacks and a good pass rush , but in the end of the night , it was the Seahawks defense and Hb that got them the win!
