Seahawks hopes for this season are from the draft picks and new coach!

The Seattle Seahawks were very disapointed in last seasons 5-11 record. Even though 5 out of the 11 losses were within 6 points or less, they felt like the season was a big disapointment and not just to their fans, but to themselves. As management knew they needed  a new direction , some hard choices had to be made for the furture of the team. The first move was to trade away their beloved HB Marhsawn "Skittles" Lynch to Oakland for their first round pick . This was done with 3 things in mind. One , to help open some cap for trying to resign Russell Wilson this season since Tyrod Taylor decided he didnt want to stay . Two , to go get some good Olinemen in the draft, as Seattle is a team that loves to pound the ball and with the weak line they had, it just wasnt happening. Third , was to get HB Christine Michaels more carries in hopes to progress him as the future HB for the team while he is young. 

      The Seahawks had a pretty decent scout , as they came out of the draft with 7 players off their draft board, a first time for them ever. They picked up some great pick ups, mostly Oline.  First pick with the 8th overall pick was RG Danny Stephenson who is strong and made to run block the main things they were looking for . Next up with the Oakland pick, they grabbed up LT Buck Lowe who was even stronger and can run block as well as pass block all day long. They originally had LT Collin Carmichael set as their second pick  in the first, but was taken by the 49ers just in front of them. However they were glad in the end it worked out that was as Buck seems to be alittle more ready at the start than Collin and is expected to develope faster than him as well. With their second round pick , as they saw numerous LBS go in the first round, they went ahead and picked up ROLB Geoffery Reynolds from Florida State . He comes in to fill in KJ Wrights spot as he left in FA . The thing that the Hawks saw in him during their scouting they loved was , his speed mixed with his hard hitting power as well as taclking ablitity and zone coverage. He should prove to be a great addition to the defense. Then in the third round and 5th round ( as they traded away thier 4th rounder), they picked up another two olinemen , both who need some work ,but both come with great strength and ready to run block , they just need more time on the field to become more aware of their surroundings. Then in the 6th round, a Gem was found in thier eyes . They had this guy on thier board the whole time, and was holding off on picking him before as Oline was the stressed thing in this draft for them.However there in the 6th round he was , so they snatched up ROLB Chadd Cooper  , who is very fast, hard hitting , great tackling and great zone play . He has proven a good pick up as he leads the team in preseason with 3 picks, one returned for a TD. He will provide alot to this team they believe. Then with their last pick  , in the 7th round, they picked up one last Olinemen they knew would need some work. RG Alpha Crisp , who comes in with good strength and decent run blocking, give him a few years in the league and he should be a beast to deal with for opposing dlines. 

     After the draft , it was time for one last change, firing the horrible Tom Coughlin , and singing a fresh new coach , unproven in the NFL, Pdizel Tee . He is a young 37 years of age and his coaching style fits in well they believe with the style of the team they have created . "I as honored they asked me to be their coach , and i love how their last draft went. I believe it can greatly increase this teams chances of winning games this season , last year it was like they couldnt ever really get a run game going and that just let the defense play pass most all day and they never got an offense going. Thier defense has always been rather solid, but a few extra pieces added defenitley cant hurt. I look forward to my first season as their coach, and helping to improve some of these young rookies into good players in thie league. We play in a very tough division , so nothing will come easy, but at the end of the day , we wouldnt want it to come easy. You cant improve and grow if you never face adversities and obsticales." With all that said, the Seahawks are hoping to improve alot on last seasons record, but only time will tell .
