When the Lions ended pre-season by replacing a quarter of their roster with new talent, everyone thought their roster was set for the year. After starting 2-0, Coach Chetty Twelve is still not satisfied with where the team is at and has traded veteran TJ Lang and struggling rookie Teez Tabor in two separate transactions that happened shortly after their week two game.

"In the off season, I said no ones roster spot is safe and we will continue to look to improve. We appreciate what Lang and Tabor brought to the table, but we felt it was necessary to get our best athletes on the field. I also want to make sure my team knows that the roster will have more changes in the coming days and they will have to keep working to keep their spot on the team".

With the practice squad signing period opening up next week, anticipate the Lions to continue to be very active with trying to improve their roster.

As for their week 2 game, the Lions got off to a fast start but turnovers by Matt Stafford helped let the 49ers sneak back into the game. Chetty Twelve when asked about his QB's performance said "There was some good, but all of that is thrown out with the turnovers. We can't keep having our team put us in great position only to have turnovers let the other team back into the game".

With the talk of the turnovers and roster changes by Coach Twelve, it's hard not to read between the lines that Stafford's seat is starting to get hot.
