Dolphins lose big in NY

2nd year quarterback Tyree Jackson had a solid start to his afternoon. Things started to unravel as he had to play from behind. He tried to force throws to keep his side within reach. Jackson had two overthrows that turned into interceptions in the fourth quarter. While he also had two fumbles and was responsible for multiple pressures on the day. Jackson has continued to hold onto the ball for too long as the Jets tallied 11 sacks on the day. Dolphins run game was strong and effective early on as Freeman's debut led to a lot of optimism for Miami hopefuls. When the Dolphins were able to generate pressure, they were unable to sack quarterback Sam Darnold. Defensive lineman Everson Griffin gave Miami's lone 2 sacks and was one of the few bright spots on the Dolphins defense. He made plays in both the pass-rush and in run defense. Besides Griffin it was fellow defensive lineman Christian Wilkins who consistently made plays on the Dolphins defense. The second-year player wasn’t very productive as a pass-rusher but he made up for it with multiple good plays against the run. 17-13 at half the game ultimately got away in the 2nd half and it was one of the lost embarrassing losses in recent memory.
