As the Colts prepared for their match up with the Texans we knew one thing and that was the users had a great history of epic battles. The game itself was not a disappointment. In a close game the Colts would drive down at the end of the game and score a TD to take the lead. However, they left way too much time on the clock as the Texans offense which had sputtered most of the night came to life. Helped by a dropped INT the Texans would score to take the lead and then closed it out with a great series on D. The Colts after the Texans game we're mentally drained. They knew they had let one slip away in a close division. They played the Titans the following week and were crushed. Looking like the entire season could fall apart the Vereran Campbell called a team only meeting. The meeting allowed the team to get their heads back straight and they closed out the regular season finishing 12-4 and the 3 seed in the playoffs. A rematch with the tough Raiders loomed. In another slugfest and drop pick fest the colts were able to prevail in a game that required a redzone stand to win. The following week they would not be so lucky. Leading 24-20 over the browns with little time on the clock and the Browns driving Griffin who also came in the Carson trade dropped a game sealing INT. The browns would go on to score on the drive leaving the Colts very little time and sending them home in the playoffs with a loss. The Browns however did win the Super Bowl.
