Tyree Jackson and Devante clicked in this game and connected on multiple throws downfield, most of which went for big yardage. Jackson also connected with Parker in the fourth quarter to bring the game within a touchdown but a fumble on the final drive derailed the comeback attempt. The offensive line struggled to keep Jackson free from pressure during the game and that resulted in several off-target throws. Still Jackson finished the game with a very strong outing. The defense was most to blame. Darnold picked apart the Dolphins secondary throwing a trio of touchdowns. Rookie end Wilkins set the tone from the start of the game by pushing the pocket, getting in the passing lane and disrupting Darnold. Wide receiver Robbie Anderson led the way for the Jets passing game today. On the opening drive he beat Dolphins defender Xavien Howard over the middle for a big play and later on, he beat him again to cap that drive with a touchdown.
