7 6-8 1-5 0-1 0-0

Some notes and observations

  • I was very curious to know how the 2 seed would fare against the 7 this cycle. It is quite suprising that the third wild card team was almost .500 against the team that would've had the bye if not for playoff expansion. Makes you think how BL history could be altered if the two seed didn't always have a bye.
  • The three seed was awful against the six. This was a little surprising, because the 3 is generally not seen as a very weak team in my opinion.
  • One thing that is honestly expected is how poorly the 4 seed is against the 5. Typically in online leagues, the 5 is one of the strongest users that placed second in a tough division. If it weren't for the seeding rules, perhaps they could even be a 2 seed. This cycle in particular had Austin and Little Alex dominate as the 5 seed because only one of them can obviously win their division. Interestingly enough, the only two five seeds to lose were both Kiing (once to Hero Austin, and once to CMass),
  • The only seven seed to make a conference championship was Lucky in season 7 after he defeated Kiing in the divisional round.
  • The six seeds to make the conference championship were Morty, Kiing, and Ben
  • The only four seed to make the conference championship was CMass
  • Super Bowl 33 (Season 7) was between two 5 seeds (Austin vs myself)
