A move that may surprise some, but should it even really need to be talked about? A great move by Dallas as one of the teams leading tacklers and turnover machine with 5 total turnovers and 2 TDs will now be able to do even more at the cornerback position. We saw what happen wth a certain Arizona Cardinals Safety (Tyrann Mathieu) being moved to CB so why not Jones? With this move Barry Church will be able to prove his worth at FS in hopes of not being released this offseason and with the man who took his starting role right by him (J.J. Wilcox) it'll certainly be a defense to watch. With Byron Jones being moved to CB his skill level at that position as well has made him the teams best CB at 85ovr with Morris Claiborne second at 85ovr Scandrick third at 83 and the rookie with 4 ints (Arthur Brown) 4th with 74ovr. With not a lot of time to prep on this position change this move could prove to be as bad as it could be could especially coming right before playoffs where you're playing the best of the best which he will be since he's the #1 CB now. Yet, with a transaction history that made people think they thinned the defense out even further proved people wrong as the defense ended #14 overall so who are we to judge. Shawn clearly knows what he's doing being the only team in the NFL that's undefeated in their division and conference. For Cowboys fans everywhere, let's hope this position change is a great one.
