Bears Make Free Agency Splash

The Bears were very active on the first day of free agency, signing veteran MLB Bobby Wagner and young QB Carson Wentz.

Bobby Wagner joins the Bears after being the center piece of 2010's Seahawks defense. Wagner signed a five year $66.8M contract with $23M guaranteed. The Bears shore up their LB corps after declining to re-sign veteran MLB Danny Trevathan.

In an unexpected move, the Bears have signed QB Carson Wentz to a six year $52.8M contract with $16.9M guaranteed. The Jake Brake era is officially over in Chicago as Carson Wentz takes over the starting spot for the Bears.
