Regular Season
Week 1 vs Green Bay (17 - 20) (1-0)
This was another great matchup against a division rival. A tough defensive matchup with a clutch game-winning interception by Deandre Clear.
MVP: Jordan Howard - 14 Carries, 78 yds, TD
Week 2 at Minnesota (27 - 6) (2-0)
CPU game with the absence of Crooked. Jake Brake enjoyed one of his best games of the season.
MVP: Jake Brake - 11/12, 163 yds, 3 TDs
Week 3 vs San Diego (24 - 15) (3-0)
An atypical game for the Bears as the Chargers DL shut down Jordan Howard. Jake Brake was able to pass all over the Chargers secondary. The Bears D shut down any Chargers attempt at running the ball. Peyton Ena was forced to whip the ball around and as a result, threw 5 picks to a hungry Bears defense.
MVP: Jake Brake - 19/24, 278 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT
Week 4 vs Philadelphia (28 - 3) (4-0)
Force Win after disconnects
Week 5 at Dallas (14 - 33) (4-1)
A battle of two undefeated teams. The Cowboys suffocating defense completely shut down the Bears offense. Jake Brake fumbled twice and threw three picks. Dak Prescott would also threw three picks on the day. This was the worst loss of the regular season for the Bears and would make changes heading into the bye.
MVP: Jordan Howard - 22 yards, 2 TDs
Week 6 Bye - Coach Fangio decided to shuffle the offensive line. Moving Jurevicius back to his natural position of center, Sinclair to LT, Leary to RT, and Rivera to LG.
Week 7 vs New York Giants (28 - 37) (5-1)
This was one of the Bears best offensive performances of the season. Jake Brake went 16/18 for 240 and a TD. Jordan Howard paved to way to victory for the Bears with his three TD runs. The Giants attempted comeback would fall short as Andy Baldridge threw four interceptions.
MVP: Jordan Howard - 109 yards, 3 TDs
Week 8 at Denver (44 - 8) (6-1)
The Bears defense held the struggling Broncos to 166 total yards on the day. They kept former MVP Glenn Draughn out of the endzone and held him to a 3.9 YPC. Back up QB Nick Foles was tormented by the Bears defense going 10/22 with 4 picks.
MVP: Deandre Clear - 2 INTs, 2 Tackles
Week 9 at Green Bay (17 - 10) (7-1)
A critical match up in the path to winning the division, the Bears defense showed up when it mattered most. In a game that featured a benching of Aaron Rodgers and Jake Brake NOT throwing an interception, the Bears were able to hold off the Packers and sweep them for the second season in a row.
MVP: Deandre Clear - INT, 2 Tackles
Week 10 vs Detroit (13 - 55) (8-1)
With Matthew Stafford injured, Brett Hundley was forced into the starting role for the Lions. The young QB did not fare well against the stout Bears defense. Hundley went 10/23 with 6 interceptions. The Bears kept piling on points with the extra possessions that they were awarded. This was the highest score the Bears would put up on the season.
MVP: Adrian Amos - 2 INTs, 1 solo Tackle
Week 11 vs Arizona (19 - 17) (8-2)
Jake: Hey Josh, I bet I can throw more picks than you.
Josh: HAH
An ugly game by both teams, the Cardinals were able to win by playing slightly not as bad as the bears. Jake Brake and Josh Edmonds combined for 7 picks and 1 TD. Jake Brake would eventually be benched and would not return to the starting role for the rest of the season. The Bears were in range to kick a game-winning FG with less than a minute left but decided to pass on third down. A sack knocked them out of FG range and Hauschka’s kick came up short. This would be the second and only loss of the Bears regular season.
MVP: Nick Kwiatkoski - 2 INTS, 6 Tackles
Week 12 at Detroit (45 - 13) (9-2)
With the benching of Jake Brake, Trevor Siemian would make his first start since the 2017 season. He would play a respectable game going 10/15 with 143 yards and 2 TDs. Matthew Stafford returned to the starting lineup but wouldn’t have any more success against the Bears defense. Stafford and Hundley would combine for 5 picks. The Lions had little to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
MVP: Adrian Amos - 2 INT, 6 Tackles
Week 13 vs Minnesota (20 - 17) (10-2)
CPU Game. RIP Travis Kelce
Week 14 at Washington (31 - 10) (11-2)
CPU Game
Week 15 at Kansas City (34 - 24) (12-2)
A highly anticipated matchup between two of the best teams in the league, this game was a shoot-out for the ages. The Bears were down 10-17 at halftime but would come roaring back. With about a few minutes left, Jordan Howard pulled off a 79 yard rush to put the Bears in position to take the lead. A few key defensive stops would keep the Bears winning streak alive and this victory would secure the division for the Bears.
MVP: Trevor Siemian - 17/19, 228 yds, 2 TDs, INT
Week 16 vs Oakland (10 - 17) (13-2)
Dubbed the “Kill Me, Please” Bowl, the Bears were able to hold off the red-hot Raiders. This game featured the folly of the year candidate “The Fumble Where the Earth Stood Still”.
MVP: Logan Ryan - FF, INT, 2 Sacks, 5 Tackles
Week 17 vs Carolina (0 - 8) (14-2)
The Panthers CPU is good...shut up.
MVP: Steven Hauschka - 2/2 on FG
Post Season
Divisional Round vs Arizona (14 - 17) (15-2)
After securing a first round bye and the second seed for the second year in a row, the Bears put on a defensive show for the Soldier Field crowd. Jordan Howard scored the Bears two touchdowns. The defense was able to shut down the Cardinals offense for the most part. They had avenged their regular season loss.
MVP: Jordan Howard - 2 TDs
Conference Championship vs New Orleans (27 - 10) (15-3)
Trevor Siemian would go down on controversial late hit after a hand off and Jake Brake took the reigns. The Bears played winning football for the first three quarters of the game with a 10-7 lead at the start of the 4th. But then a miraculous comeback by Tim Tebow’s Saints sent Bears’ fans home disappointed. The Saints launched a 20 point 4th quarter off of a trio of very uncharacteristic fumbles by the Bears. The Bears had failed to defend their title and was a heart-breaking way to end the season.
MVP: Jake Brake - 17/28, 247 yds, TD, INT
