Fresh off their 28-6 victory against the Packers, the Bears' defense continued their dominance this week against the Redskins with a 42-0 victory. The defense had five takeaways and allowed only 30 total yards. Linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski had three interceptions on the day. Defensive back Deoindro Hall had had an interception Akiem Hicks interecepted an option and returned it for a touchdown. The Bears' offense was gifted excellent field position all day.

Going into the bye week, the Bears out-scored their previous two opponents 70-6. Coach Fangio hopes that they can keep this momentum through the bye week. Star receiver Alshon Jeffery is set to return week 10 against the Detroit Lions.
