The Bears injury-plagued season continues as quarterback Trevor Siemian went down with a broken collar bone against the Lions on Thanksgiving. Trevor Siemian will miss the rest of the season with this injury. Siemian threw for 2676 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions with a 70.4 completion percentage. Another truly devastating injury for the playoff-hopeful Bears who have already been devastated with injuries. The Bears are now without Alshon Jeffery, Zach Miller, Jordan Howard, and their starting quarterback.
Bears fans had little to be thankful for as their defense allowed 443 yards and 5 touchdowns from a red-hot Matthew Stafford. Poor coverage and little to no pass rush would be the downfall of the Bears. Kadeem Carey had a good game on the ground running for 123 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts.
The Bears will be hosting the 10-0 Green Bay Packers next week. Bryce Petty is expected to make his first start of the 2017 season against the Packers and will have to keep the Bears alive in the playoff race. This game is a must win as the Seahawks are only half a game behind for the 6th playoff spot.
Defensive captain Pernell McPhee will return from injury against the Packers. Hopefully his presence will lead the Bears to a W on Sunday.
